Creative Competition MT20: BOUNDARY

Entry to our termly creative competition is now CLOSED. ?✍️

The winner of the competition will be published in the MT20 magazine. The theme of this term’s competition is ‘Boundary’, and entry will close at midnight on Sunday 8th of November. Good luck!

How will the competition be conducted?

Any university student can participate and we will be accepting submissions in three categories: visual art, poetry, and short story (see below). The creator of the winning submission will then receive a special feature in our publication.

Visual Art

Original visual art pieces may be any medium though they must be presentable in a publishable and digital format. Please send photographs/scans/files to [email protected] along with a short artist’s statement (200 words max.) explaining your piece’s significance and relationship to the theme.

Poems

Any form of poetry is accepted, but poems must not exceed 50 lines in length.

Short Stories

We are particularly looking for motifs of science fiction, such as dystopianism, historical fiction – or anything remotely ‘sciency’. Feel free to explore these but don’t limit yourself! Short stories should not exceed 700 words.
